・展示場は出展社が2倍ほどに増えたにも関わらず、いつも閑散としていた。会場の配置が、ちょっと奥まったところに変更されていたせいでしょう。

・MySQL ClusterのBoFが予定の時間をかなりオーバーして白熱してました。個人的には、一番楽しかった。
Amazon.comの兄ちゃんが得意げに環境を説明していました。32台だったかな？メモリ総量が100GB超だったか。この人。まだ検証段階だと。
会場には30～40人くらいが参加。実際に使っている人は若干名。
オーストラリア人のStewartがfeature requestをノートに記述していた。Amazonくんから、スタートアップスクリプト、監視、オンラインでの設定変更などが挙がっていましたが、同意。
ディスクベースは、、、正直未だ期待していない。

途中でMontyが乱入してきて、ウォッカ入りのチョコレートを配布してくれました。

MySQL Clusterのセットアップが難しいってところに、Montyも賛同。15分でセットアップできなきゃ、と。

・セッションでのMySQL Clusterの事例として、イタリア人のサーチエンジン（NDB API）と、ドイツ人のPHP Sessionストレージ、アメリカ人のVoIP環境など。

イタリア人は、昨年パートナー朝食で話をした甘いマスクの青年と、彫りの深いラテン系の青年。
先方も覚えていてくれてました。もともとCで開発していたので、簡単にNDB APIに移行できたのでしょう。
Oracle→独自→MySQL Cluster (NDB API)という流れで、独自開発はApache+Cでパフォーマンス重視。
そこからMySQL Clusterへ移行。

PHPのセッションストレージは、、、セッションとは何かってところから始まって、結局一番大事なパートが時間内に終わらなかった。ドイツ支社の二人組みで、プレゼン初めてのようでした。

VoIPは、プレゼンも分かりやすくてロジカルだし、でかなり参考になりそう。

久しぶりにやる気になった。

・mixi.jpのセッションでは、バタラさんが活躍してました。

・アメリカ、ヨーロッパからの参加者が目立ちます。

・Hiltonは、何故かGoldメンバーだったので、会員専用ラウンジでの朝食がついて、おまけにインターネット利用料が無料になりました！
Hiltonは、別にプライベートで泊まるわけでも無く、仕事で利用したときに会員になってただけなのに。こういうことがあるので、ポイント収集はやめられません。
以前W Hotelに２週間くらい滞在したとき、スターウッドのポイントをためずに、NWAのマイレージを加算してもらったのだけど、これは失敗だった。日数に関係無く、一回の滞在で500マイレージしか加算されないので。

最後のQAで質問した人に一本ずつあげるよ、ってことだったのですが、途中で怠慢なMySQLの人間が配布するのをやめてしまったので、余ったビールは適当に持って帰って良いことに。

SkypeOut購入。自宅に電話してみた。こちらの回線が細いので、音質悪い
Hiltonのインターネットは有料だけど、40KB/secしかでないので、自宅サーバからの録画した番組のダウンロードは、ほぼ不可能。1GBのファイルをコピーするのに、6時間？残念。
T-Mobileプリペイド携帯は、、、残念ながら、購入したのがちょうど一年と数日前なので、めでたくアカウント停止しました。出発前に問い合わせたときは、まだアカウント生きてたのだけどねえ。再アクティべートってできないみたいなので、また購入する必要が。ebayなどにも出てるけど、Prepaid T-Mobile SIM Card毎購入するのが手っ取り早い。会場に、誰か２枚持ってるやついないかな。
